So what do the most happy and successful people have in common?
A simple morning routine.
Just in case you thought you missed it I’ll say it again a simple morning routine.
This isn’t a precise formula to success as we are all like Formula One cars, individual and bespoke with no two working in exactly the same ways. Think the suggestions below as tool box with a collection of parts that you can use to find more joy, gratitude, less stress and definitely more fulfilment in your life.
-1- Get Up Early
“Early to bed and early to rise, makes a woman healthy, wealthy, and wise”.
Some of the most successful ‘preneurs’ wake up before the rest of the population, making the most of those precious and quiet hours allowing their mind to open up for business without all the distractions.
If this is something you want to try the happy majority tend to wake between 5am and 6:30am, or at least two full hours before they need to start their day. Yep, I did just say 5am! You can try to leap straight into it, setting your alarm clock for 5am and you may succeed. Alternatively, you can work towards you goal waking time by setting your alarm about 15 minutes earlier every three to four days, until you reach your goal waking time.
-2- Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate
Get all your cells and organs to work as effectively as you can. Beat the tiredness as tiredness or fatigue is often a sign of dehydration.
Prepare by taking a bottle to bed with you the night before so that you drink it before you have even left your bed.
If you like your water super chilled, freeze a 500ml bottle during the day, then take it to bed with you overnight so that in the morning it will have defrosted and still be cold.
-3- Read something
“If we encounter a woman of rare intellect, we should ask her what books she reads.”

Reading is said the not only reduce stress and improve your thought process. Research by Cognitive Neuropsychologist, Dr David Lewis found that reading works faster and better than other stress reduction methods such as taking a stroll, listening to music, having a cuppa.
If this is something that you want to add to your morning routine as little time as six minutes of silent reading. This would also be a good time to boost your positivity. Get into the right positive mindset in the morning by reading positive books, blogs and articles. If you can avoid your email, the news and the weather at the start of your day.
-4- Brain Dump
Open your mind up, the get everything out that you want, need and it would be nice if’s onto a piece of paper (physical or electronic).

This is sometimes more difficult when you first start because you’re not used to doing this. After time and in as little as a couple of days you will find it easier and it will open you up to all your possibilities.
-5- Spend Time with Positive people
A positive mindset is a powerful thing and a great way to start your morning. Read positive people’s books, post or emails. Let’s push the boat out and watch their videos, let their positively shine out and into you.
-6- Avoid your email
This one is hard, as modern life demands our attention the moment we wake up. Yet avoiding your email allows you to start your day focused on you. Your needs first, or being self-first, other people’s requests for your attention, time and energy can happen later, much later.
